Indeed maybe not Bugis but Sumatran.
In both cases it is quite small which makes Sumatra a bit more likely I guess.

It's both Sumatran and Bugis. The hilt form is another indicator of Sumatran (Riau) origin.

So you would say it is Sumatran (Riau) of origin but with strong Bugis influence?
