Default Kabeala, Sumba

Hi,

Last year I bought this nice kabeala. When I type "kabeala" in the search-column of EEWRS, not many threats are shown.

Does anyone have other nice kabeala's or has pictures of old sumba warriors?

Also I hope to know a bit more about my kabeala and its carriers, and would be pleased to see some other pictures.

Kind regards,
Maurice

Can't tell by the pictures. Is the hilt wood or ivory?

Just in case you missed this thread:

That might be of some interest to you. My two kabeala are in a couple of the picures, horn handles, not sure of the age but probably mid-twentieth.

I can take more picures of them if you're interested, but yours is already nicer I think!

Hi Radleigh,

I sure missed that thread, Because that threat was about west-sumba swords.
Thank you for telling me about this threat.
I hope for pics of some sumbawarriors carrying a kabeala.
I think we both will be interested in them Radleigh.
