Default Inscription help

A friend of mine has this short yataghan and would like to know what the inscription says. I could only help him with the date (1788-1789 I believe), and I would really appreciate it if anyone can help with the rest.
Thanks in advance,
Teodor

Work of Mehmet, Owner Mustafa. The inscription is poorly written but the first word appears to be "bichak" or knife
