Default an very good 18.th. ct. khanda

I'm offering this fantastic khanda for sale.
As you can see in the pictures, both the handle and the back reinforcement are completely adorned with an exceptional old silver koftgari. This koftgari likely dates back to ancient times, and I don't think it's a later addition from the 19th century, as is sometimes found on decorated weapons that were modified for the collector's market to make them easier to sell. The sword is approximately 98 cm long and has a typical khanda basket hilt with a long spike. An old grip cushion is still attached to the handle.
The blade is single-edged with a 20 cm back edge and is made of beautiful wootz Damascus steel, as you can see in one of the pictures. However, to bring the steel pattern back to its best advantage, the blade would need to be repolished and etched. If you need additional pictures and information, please don't hesitate to write to me.

Price : 4400,00 € +shipping
