Bought this today in the local street fair. Completely rusted, though not so deep, stuck in the unfolded position. Just because it cost me the equivalent to a half portion of fish and chips (as Tim Simmons woul say
![]() So i submitted it to two sessions of soft brushing with very fine steel wool, all permanently soaked with WD-40. And so what did i find, which was completely hidden; a coloured bulfighter in action and the word ESPAŅA, so much better than SPAIN, hence a bit less touristy. I do not dare brush it harder, risking to take out the coloured bulfighter. Should i say the overall etching has a moorish taste ? The ratchet lock with six scoops. . . |

Lovely fernando,
It is great to rescue these items and find such markings underneath. I wish my weekends expenditure was as cheap, I just purchased a perfect condition Wilkinson flintlock pistol but no regrets at all, it is a very special item. Well done Ken |
