Depicts pretty much a classical Dionysian orgy scene, with naked ladies, satyrs, drunks, and all the expected trimmings and carryings-on.
I can't say where it comes from, other than the human libido. |

Elkington and Co made a number of silver plated chargers or trays similar to this in the late 19th Cent. Usually designed by a fellow called Morel-Ladeuil.
Are there any traces of plate on yours? Regards Richard |

My guess would be Florentine. I have this octagonal vase which I found was made in Florence.
