is this knife / dagger Moroccan ? or Berber (Imazighen/Amazighen ) ? or even from somewhere else ? total lenght: 28 cm scabbard 16 cm dagger 27 cm blade 15, 5cm handle ( horn) 12 cm Looking very much forward to your feedback, thank you very much ! |

On the basis of form, construction and some of the decorative elements, I believe this is Moroccan, later 20th Century, probably made to appeal to the traveler. Considering the amount of hand work put in to these, I was surprised at how inexpensive they were during my own travel to Morocco in 1998.
