Paper knife/letter opener. If you show a close-up of the hallmarks it quite possibly is English (I see them regularly here).

Thinking about it, I've seen them described as meat skewers too.... I have a feeling that they are actually meat skewers (sorry) but that they are often described as paper knives now as it makes them a little more saleable. They are almost always solid sterling silver though! |
