I also had this, as well as the "arty" panabas, on my watch list - frustrating
It's a Peninsular Malay Keris Sundang and I also suspected that it had twist core.
The horn scabbard mouth is original but the top of the wood below is broken which is the reason why it looks like a strange fit.
I don't get it why somebody cancels an auction on something he obviously doesn't know what it is or what value it has when he gets that much attention on it???
