Not so old, as you already knew, but a very nice hilt.

The combination of this Y shaped hilt and a human face is new to me too.
With teh present USD/Eur rates it came relatively cheap. It is definately not very old, but considereing the style of the carving I think it must have been a piece for actual use, and not a tourist item yet
