Hi Maurice,

I am not 100% sure, but all old collected Pade I've seen have a end cap, look for example on page 70/71 van Z. (No. 261, 262 and 270) or the examples Michael show in the other thread. The example Royston show maybe don't have had a end cap.

Ok, it could be that once on each one were end caps. But most of the the one I have seen in collections or photos, have a missing end cap.
Also in the museums they are found without end caps. And also Michael has one without an end cap (the one to the right, with the MOP inlay)

I know this is an older post, but WOW! That looks just like the sword I just posted about! I have never seen one like it online so far.

Hi Brian. This is what a search of our archives yielded from inputting "pade". It is not the most common of weapons, but there are more than a few of them around...
