I'm perfectly aware of the thread's aim. I just couldn't remain silent after reading Pallas.
Regarding Gonzalos's mexican apologetic views of the bloody Aztecs and his mindless repetition of anti-spanish Black Legend propaganda, already accepted as such by modern historians: I don't think this is the proper place to discuss those.
