As far as i know.. there is no original Dr Groneman book. He always preferd writing in magazines and sciencetific publications and newspapers. But he never printed or publisch a real Groneman book! Ing. Gerard Tammes, writer and publischer of The Kris 1,2 and 3 and De Kris in zijn Paranormale wereld, and founder of the Dutch Keris Study Group Also publised a book called De Krissen wereld van Dr.I.J. Groneman. Witch i have here at home. He did study all work of Groneman but never have found more than diffrent articles about keris and his days in Yogja, where he was the physician of het Sultan. This book i have here contains his work writen in German and Dutch. It contains the articles, Das schmeiden javanischer waffen 1, Der kris der Javaner, Der kris der Javaner die bekleidung des kris, Der kris der Javaner 2, Vordeingen der Pamor-smeedkunst, Het Njirami De jaarlijkse reiniging van de erfwapens en andere poesaka's in midden Java. And end with a copy of a hand writen text of Dr Groneman in dutch.. witch even for me as a dutch speaking person is very difficult to read. due to his handwriting..and i always thought my handwriting was difficult to read

I stand corrected.

Heard about this book by Tammens, am trying to get a hold of it and might have located one. Is it a quite simple reproduced book?

Hi Erik,

Yes it is a simple book. Published in 1999 by Tammens him self. And probaly because of that reason it has no ISBN number..And due to that and the posebility of small number of print difficult to find. I was luck to see one on marktplaats.. you know the site. It is a book of 192 pages, soft cover front in green the back is white with text. On cover front there is in black a djogja keris standing on this tip on left side. and rightside the name of book and the name of tammens. from the style of the cover you would think the book is older than from 1999.

I was indeed able to find Tammens book on Groneman and it is now on its way to me....
