Is this a Dao ... Naga ?

Sorry for the poor pictures.
I assume dao is the right name?!
From Assam ... or Burma ?
19th century ? Important to know this.
How would you tipify this in western terms ... an axe, a sword ... a cleaver?

These have been classified in the past as an axe, yes Naga.

Is this a miserable specimen ? a modern one ?
Would Assam be the correct provenance ?
