i've been watching that one since it was posted & even enquired about the apparent postage anomaly for inside the UK, but it rapidly went past my limit. looks like a nice blade.

Very nice sword with original hilt & scabbard.
Be surprised if it had a twisted core. Doubt it has a softer steel core. One of those swords that may etch nicely or may very well be mono steel. Excellent Sulu work from the latter 19thC. |

I don't see the potential for twist core here, not even a hint of it, but I do very much like the fullering.........and I have certainly been wrong before.
