Sudanga the same as Kelewang/Parang. Makassar and Bugis people called Sudanga or Alameng. Sudanga wear by Chieftain or Panglima Perang/Ade Pitue (Member of tetua adat) therefore it is also a symbol of leadership. Not many people know about the shape of Sudanga/Alameng because of its prestige (produce limited). Congrats!.

To day i have done an experiment: I have used warangan on the blade. The exit IMO is rather good : a kind of pamor sanak has come out. I think to maintaim the blade in this way |

Very nice and contrast, original bugis blade as expected!. No need to put warangan on bugis blade, leave it as it is. After you clean the blade (mutih), dry it with soft cloth, leave it dry for few minutes, and smear it with oil.
