Thank you all for your kind comments. They make me like the piece even more.
The blade really is sweet. The laminations are tight and the blade is sharp and very hard. It also has those sparkly crystals in it. They show up in the photos as white spots near the center of the blade. I thought it was interesting that the scabbard had been modified from the original. Acutally I don't think it was altered. The top and bottom parts are low silver with the tarnish taken off.

i like that blade shape, wish i could find more moro stuff over here. shipping from the states is outrageous.
anyhow, it reminds me of this newly made one i picked up a while back ![]() not in the same league tho. |
