Thanks Bill,

I find the cross piece very unusual (and interesting) for being a Sewar.
To me it looks like a miniature Aceh Sikin scabbard crosspiece.
On the TL question I think that the hilt shape alone doesn't make it a Tombok Lada.
But the scabbard's shape, by itself, makes it a Sewar...

My understanding also about the scabbard shape, Michael. TLs have a more rounded scabbard crosspiece. The hilts are, or can be, very similar.

Perhaps the previous owner could have had two scabbards depending on whether he wanted to wear a TL or a Sewar?

Not only are the collars later but so is the scabbard tip. Love the ivory. Will you etch the blade Bill?
