Thankyou Shawn, Ive seen those to, I wonder about the historical precidence of such a design though? Who? where? when?

Similar design has been used in central region of Thailand.

There certanly of the same family of weapons I would say.


Sadley I cant read Thai, does it mention a name for these? also which tribes or people used them & how old are they known to be historicaly?

According to this thread. As far as I know, the design has been used for more than 200 yo. They were used as utility knife in garden, farm and jungle. Some of them are slightly modified to suit local wood (rattan, bamboo, coconut, hardwood, softwood etc.)
