I am an amateur too. ![]() As already being suggested... better, clearer pictures would help. Would like to request a picture from the top of the hilt, to see the top portion of the ganja's cover. Material cannot be determined, yet... due to insufficient light. Tip: try taking pics during the day with ample sunlight. ![]() |

Take it on the bright daylight and you got a better pics.
We have seen many woods, ivory and fossil but your silver hilt is unique. It covers the ukiran and the mendak as well. Interestingly some silver repoussed panel covering the base of ganjar too (we often see this layering on Sumatran and minang kabaus kerises). Pamor looks like nunggak semi and wos wutah. Tangguh... (?) no idea. |
