here is another pair of threads on these with more info (& a photo of mine in the linky2 there
)Linky Linky2 on close examination the right side of the bolster on mine has what i thought were two parallel nicks or file marks, i suspect after seeing above that they also are the remains left exposed to show it was made from a file. |

Hi All
The knife arrived yesterday and is a real nice example. I noticed that the tip of the blade has a small cut out at the tip but I don't know why? It looks purposely done may to help it penetrate more easily?Lew |
