Have you any pic? I think I've seen a few Jungayan-style hilts completely covered with brass sheet. While there are antique examples with pommels covered in silver, I've always thought of the brass-covered examples as more recent renditions possibly made for servicemen/tourists... A hilt completely made from cast brass would most likely point towards a Lumad (probably T'boli) origin. In this case, the blade could either originate from trade/capture or indigenous production.
