Ann, I have an old peshkabz that I believe is wootz. When he handled it, Rick suspected it might be false wootz, however.
I now have the impetus to re-etch a small section of the blade and see what there is to see. ![]() Best, Andrew |

Thanks Andrew, I look forward to hear about your findings. I would also like to put information about different types of Damascus steel, such as false patterns. So that is also of great interest to me.
