My guess is that two people made a big mistake in entering their bids. Looks like someone meant to bid 17.99, but missed the decimal point, and another person entered an even bigger bid by missing the decimal point. Unusual to have two similar errors on the same item I would think. Unlikely that this one will be completed at the final price.

Unlikely as it may seem, I think that Ian's answer is probably correct. Misplaced decimal points. Look for it to be re-listed.
