Well Steve, you just showed me that these with this kind of engraving are not just tourist pieces because of the damascus steel.

also - on the scabbard I see evidence of acutally 2 bands missing - a small one in the middle and a larger one at the bottom.

We're ALL learning here. I wouldn't have bet on it being pattern welded either.

Two bands eh? I think I have just enough silver for that. Thanks!

Some of mine.

The one with the see-through celluloid scabbard and the all ivory one are only about 7" long.

I really like the one with the Naga scales. Has laquer on it from a previous owner. Need to clean it off.
