Have you tried to etch it? At least a window?
The blade configutration looks just too good not to be tempted....

No luck so far, Ariel
I brushed on some lime juice with little effect. I can see what looks like swirls, but that might be on account of the moving lime juice. I'll try some stronger acid...if the swirls are indeed there, then it looks like a patter-weld, not wootz.

Nothing, nothing! It's all good just clarifying that I saw large swirls, not dendritic structures.
