There seems to be a concensus on a Borneo (maybe Sabah is more probable than Kalimantan?)/Sulu combination.
Newsteel, do you meen Malaysian, Borneo or Sulu when writing Sundang Sulu?

Judging from the fittings and bulan sabit sampir, probably it could be from northern Borneo.

Wasn't sure of what you meant when calling it a Sundang Sulu.
I don't recognise the hilt as being Borneo.
Does anyone have any resembling picture as a reference?
