SWORD OR KERIS?

Hi carlos,
Interesting item. To my untrained eye, it doesn't look like a keris. The hilt and blade looks more like a sword. The outline of the hilt looks like a variation of the makara-styled hilt.

There are a lot of similarities with this knife. The hilt, the top part of the scabbard and the forte of the blade. Anyone with more info do not hold back. Malayan, Borneo?
