Rick,
Yes, this weapon is quite functional. It is in near new condition mechanically with an almost perfect bore. There is some staining to the outer surfaces. Being that the original cartridges are no longer available you do have to load your own ammo for it, hence the case trimmer and lee loader. You use 44 cal. shells that you cut to the proper length and then load with black powder replacement powder and either ball or bullet. The revolvers have quite an interesting history being used by the French Army and Foreign Legion. Robert |
