since this is an weapon forum idd better show something wich has something to do with arms. the photo shows dayak with arms and jewellry etc. This one came with the other photo both are from approx 1920

hei ron, its not indonesian languange. I do recognized some word. Its a old indonesian spelling ( before 1974 ). i send it to my dayak friend in samarinda, hope she could translate it

IMO it may be easier to post a picture of the text. ![]() Without looking at the actual foto as well as the actual text, my first impression is that, according to my translation (allowing for mistranscription in the text provided), the picture shows a paramount chieftain accompanied by his retinue who had arrived to celebrate the birthday of her/his majesty the queen/king of Holland on 31 Aug 1920?
