Jeff, it is a bit difficult for me to identify specific characteristics of this keris as indicators of quality; when I see something like this I automatically fill in the missing excellence that time has taken, & in this case I'm looking at the entire keris, not just the blade.
Possibly my most accurate comment would be that I see a simple, uncomplicated ensemble that has been crafted very carefully by artists who knew precisely what they were doing. It deserves to be brought back to as close to its original condition as possible, by a person or persons who have the skill & experience to do this. |
