Ian, what you describe would be Pamor Rekan - "engineered" Pamor, versus Pamor Tiban.

In short - Pamor Adeg is not very rare on Moro Kris, I have seen some examples here on forum. From Pamor Adeg there are only a couple of steps to Pamor Pucuk Rebung.
