not too bad for holding. As mentioned, 2 pounds, slightly more. Definitely solid, not a toy.

Curious as to age...handle is not as old as the head in my opinion.

My apologies but one additional question:

is there any possibility that the head can be older than the haft and langets? Difficult to see from the pictures, but the head appears older and seems hammered to the more modern langets.

This is also on the other side of the hammer head. Not sure if a maker mark?
