Just saw this thread; I'm very saddened at the passing of this very knowledgeale and personable gentleman.
It has been said that when a man dies, it is as though a vast library has been burned. All too true in this case. RIP, Fernando. |

Very sad news, Fernando was an incredibly enthusiastic student of arms and always one to share knowledge. He was also generous, I have in my collection, half a world away, a small cannon ball from the Lines of the Torres Vedras and mounted above my doorbell is a brass plaque with an artillery scene that he thought I might like. RIP my friend.

That is indeed very saddening news...Fernando was a fantastic student and teacher, helpful and patient, with some of us, less knowledgeable. May he rest in peace.
My condolences to his family...he was a good friend |
