I don't think it's a question of a better monitor.
I think it is very possible this is an old "archaic" Moro kris, what Cato defines as 18thC kris. By comparison to the Madura keris next to it it seems the blade is probably under 20 inches long. And the blade profile is right for nthat type of kris. But i've got a feeling that the hilt might be a figurative Indonesian hilt that has been adapted to this kris. I don't see a baca-baca on this one. We need a CSI photo reconstruction on this photo to tell anything for sure.
