The blades look to functional to be theater props. The photos posted below is the same as the auction house has posted on their website. I guess Gavin wants to find out if they are worth making a bid on:

As they are up for auction currently, we should not be discussing them until after the auction in approx. 2 days.

I agree, the blades look very functional... would leave a nice bump on the head... I figured it strange a pair should turn up too... but we collectors do have the strangest things some days...
