Looks more like the top spike on a poll axe (or late halberd). Boar spears would generally have a wide, sharp edged blade and a crosspiece at the base to bleed out the boar quickly, while preventing it from pushing towards it's attacker up the haft. Or at least a hole for attaching a stopper. Nice piece in any case. Looks brutal. I've seen marks like that somewhere. Maybe I can recall it from long term storage in my brain. I think the term is 'sigil' - used in magical & alchemic writings... See also This reference book on sigils.
