One always wonder about the history of these pieces. For instance, what happened to the seluts? Were they very nice and sold off at some point or did they simply wear out or get lost because they weren't nice? What kinds of people owned this kind of knife when it was first made? Being from Madura was this a soldier's sidearm?
It looks like there is an occasional face hidden in the vegetation of these. |

Either the Seluts were in silver y and we were sold at a time when the family needed money. Either they were damaged during disassembly for the ritual cleaning of the blade and once too damaged they were removed. |
