Let's see: the "pommel" looks Philippino or Indonesian, the forward ferrule and S-guard look "Chinese" (in the broad sense), the blade could be from anywhere, but looks Chinese-ish, the sheath could be from any of the above...

Just to be different than Tom Hyle (is that Tom Hoyle in diguise? :-) ), I'll say that it came from a Chinese enclave either in Indonesia or the PI.

Neat, weird thing. Thanks for sharing it. BTW, what does the label say?
