Nice example. The yellow bands are gold washed silver. Great to have the ivory intact. I wonder if the later brass covering on the scabbard is hiding damage. From what I can see the from the pictures, this could be Maguindanao.
The blade needs a polish and an etch, and the scabbard needs some repairs. Congratulations on finding such a complete example with a scabbard! |
