I have also a couple of those. What I found interesting is that looking closely they are made from old files, and I also read somewhere that old European discarded tools were exported to Africa because of the steel quality.

When you don't mind please share them with us! By my both examples you can't see that they are worked from files and I doubt it will be like this, one has had a very cratched blade which I've polished out without great problems.
