The Texas renaissance festival starts Sept 29th outside of Houston. Not very historically accurate but can be a lot of fun.

The Roundtop, TX antiques show should be going on then. HUGE antique market. Not much in the way of arms though.

Pity; by the 29th we shall be riding along and up the Mississipi, in our way back to Dallas, from where we will depart
