Do i understand, is THIS ONE the "Michael's thread" you meant ? ... and certainly is THIS ONE the gun you refer to. Will you do it yourself; or do you want me to do it ? |

Dear Fernando,
The thread I had thoughts about attaching the Herman Historica photos to, was this one; http://www.vikingsword.com/vb/showth...ight=Matchlock It is Michael's thread on this very gun. If you feel that adding these photos to the original thread would be fitting, I can do it for you to save you work. Yes, we owe Michael a Great deal, and will always remember him. Kind regards, Richard. |

Then go ahead and do it yourself, Richard.
I will be glad to see it done. |

I wholeheartedly agree guys, and Richard, most thoughtful of you to suggest this.
Michael contributed so much to our forum and our learning on not just medieval guns and ordnance, but the period and art as well. It was his lifes work which he worked tirelessly to compile, study, and then openly share with all of us. It is good to see his collection finding 'good homes' and I hope they will always be noted as from the Michael Tromner collection. He was also a brilliant photographer, and his threads were so powerfully full of his work taken of important works of art which gave us so much dimension in learning about the arms of the times. His legacy is always with us here. |
