I found the solution:
The mark on the pistol's barrel stands for "Christian Hauns of Kopenhagen" (Christian Hauns Boeoessemager Vaerkstedt). Hauns was certainly not the maker of this pistol, but probably its repairer. You can find his mark mostly on Percussion locks für cannons. The pistol might be of Dutch or British origin and was IMO made for the captain of a trading ship. corrado26 |
