Thanks for the offer, Silber..., but I now have the info. Now if you were in Dresden, however....! The Ruestkammer there has a monster bearing sword (no. VI 360) whose dimensions I would like to know (is it bigger than the monster in Topkapi palace?). The Arms curator is away at the moment so I cannot get an answer from the Museum. And it is not described in any of my books, even Schobel's splendid 'Princely Arms & Armour'. Anyone know this sword?
