The best source I know is a fantastic book by M.V.Gorelik "Weapons of the Ancient East" published by Atlant http://www.atlant-tpg.ru/aka.html
It is by far the best source on ancient Central Asian weapons and their counterparts and analogues from China to Mesopotamia.
There is a hooker: the book is in Russian.
