Recovery of a family sword

I finally had some time to take pictures. The sword is in perfect condition, at least for a 140 year-old sword.

The blade has elaborate etching, but rather shallow so it is hard to photograph. The blade is marked "W Clauberg Solingen" with a standing knight with a sword at ground rest. It was hard to photograph through the guard, but its there. The last pic shows my great-great-grandfather's initials "CPB" (Charles Pickering Bowditch).
