Sorry I missed your reply, Ken. Fascinating article! I am also intrigued by the pike shown. It resembles the common gaff hooks on naval vessels of the time. Thanks for posting it and good luck on identifying your sword. You might want to post it over on the Ethno side of the forum.

Yes an amazing article, I am actually going to they reenactment of the 1798 rebellion this weekend, have to persuade wife but am winning her over I will post up some pictures As for the sword I will take your advice and go the ethnic route. Best regards Ken |
