I found artwork that shows Landsknecht halberds with a pattern of lines on the blade.
Title: Landsknecht mit Schrammhans, Date: ca. 1535, Artist: Erhard Schoen, Provenance: Germany Collection: Germanisches Nationalmuseum |

Thanks kronckew! The head measures 85cm from tip to bottom of languets. I haven't had a chance to weigh it. The edge is sharpened and it was sharp at one point in time.
The languets are unique indeed. Does anyone know if they are significant to a region or time? |
