A Landsknecht Halberd?

I found artwork that shows Landsknecht halberds with a pattern of lines on the blade.

i suspect the lines on the blades, like the similar lines on the human figures are contour lines to indicate shading rather than actual lines on the blades or the humans & their clothing. the blades are being shown as not being flat.

Very possible. I did consider that but thought they might spark someones knowledge.

ilike yours better anyway nice, simple, functional with just a hint of decoration. love the languets. how long is it & how much does it weigh? is it sharp?

Thanks kronckew! The head measures 85cm from tip to bottom of languets. I haven't had a chance to weigh it. The edge is sharpened and it was sharp at one point in time.

The languets are unique indeed. Does anyone know if they are significant to a region or time?
