Ivory hilted Kris on ebay

Now that IS interesting ; bidding war perhaps ?
I see nothing very unusual about this sword ; anyone else ?

Wow Ian, that does seem a bit much. I literally have this kris' identical twin ( my blade is only 21 1/2"). I paid $235 for it just 6 months ago and my sheath is both intact and original to the blade. BTW, mine was not an ebay auction.

Rick: I don't see anything special about this one -- somewhat unusual hilt maybe, but otherwise not very old and not very interesting.

David: You paid about what I would expect this one to have gone for. I guess someone was in the holiday spirit, or had a little too much holiday spirit.

You may have a sale to the unlucky bidder who missed out on this one.

Yeah I'm with you guys on this latest one: nothing spectacular about it, certainly not $500 worth. Nechesh you paid right for yours.

I thought Moro leveled out - this shows otherwise (or just a bidding war
